The Annual Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony at Lake Las Vegas on Nov. 25

A free and family-friendly event celebrating the holiday season with the annual tree lighting ceremony and a visit from Santa Claus at Santa’s Candy Shop

Lake Las Vegas will hold its annual Christmas Tree Lighting event on Saturday, Nov. 25, at the Montelago Village. Santa Claus will be ready to meet the kids at 5 p.m. before the main event starts at 5:30 p.m. The public is welcome to come early and enjoy the Magical Christmas Village transformation.

Starting at 5:30 p.m., the public can watch performances by Dale Davidson, Vashawn Nash and Kathy Reese on the floating stage. Enjoy a holiday concert with international singer Annie Meadows until 6:30 p.m. when the countdown to the tree lighting begins. Students from the Positively Arts Foundation will be caroling throughout the tree lighting ceremony and will continue to perform on the floating stage until 8:30 p.m. After the tree lighting concludes around 7 p.m., Annie Meadows, Vashawn Nash and Kathy Reese will be available for a meet-and-greet. There will also be a special tribute to the 58 lives lost during the Oct. 1 Las Vegas shooting.

This is a family-friendly event and is free to the public. Gather the children and bring them to visit Santa Claus from 5-7 p.m. Santa’s Candy Shop will be open, with hot chocolate and coffee provided by Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory.
