“This has become one of our favorite events, and it’s clear the community feels the same,” said Eric Dutt, manager of operations with Reflection Bay. “This year, we are thrilled to have more restaurants participating than ever before. It’s a wonderful mix of delicious food, golf and fantastic music, all while supporting a great cause.”
The two-day festival will include an all-day double shotgun scramble golf tournament, live music, a silent auction to benefit UMC Foundation, cocktails, wine, brews from Able Baker Brewing, whisky and tequila tastings and cuisine prepared by award-winning chefs from different restaurants around the Las Vegas valley. The golf tournament will kick off the festival on Friday at 7:45 a.m., with the Culinary Feast on Saturday from 5:30 to 10 p.m.
Golfers can start the day on Sept. 27 with a continental breakfast and barbeque lunch between rounds, in addition to tee prizes, gifts and hole sponsors serving refreshments and food on select tee boxes. Players will also have the chance to win prizes throughout on-course challenges, which consist of closest-to-the-pin contests on par three holes, longest drives for men and women and more. All teams can choose between morning or afternoon tee times, and foursome packages range from $1,600 to $2,000 that include dinner tickets as well
This year’s festival is brimming with local culinary talent. There will be a culinary feast from 15 renowned restaurants including Kassi Beach House, Capital Grille, Kona Grill, Le Thai and more. In between sampling the chef’s platters, attendees can taste a variety of cocktails, wine and beer from spirit tents.
At 7 p.m. the party continues with live music from one of Las Vegas’ top performers, Patrick & the LVB. Guests can also bid on over $80,000 in auction items that include trips, dinner packages, recreation packages, sports and music memorabilia and more. Tickets are $125 per person and include beverages, food and entertainment.
All net proceeds from the event are donated to the UMC Foundation, a nonprofit public hospital serving Southern Nevada since 1931. UMC is one of the state’s hospitals providing the highest level of care and responding to community crises. Donations support UMC and UMC Children’s Hospital, funding crisis response efforts, patient care and technology upgrades.
“This is one of the best events Las Vegas has to offer. It’s open to the public, and over the years, we have had thousands attend,” said Jon Openshaw, Reflection Bay’s general manager. “Every year, the turnout amazes me, and there’s always something new and exciting to look forward to.”
