LAS VEGAS(November 12, 2018) – Hilton Lake Las Vegas Resort & Spa has welcomed Chef Daniel Pfeiffer as its new executive chef. Chef Daniel has already begun revitalizing the Hilton’s dining menus with farm-to-table ingredients and delivering an elevated approach to each dish. Chef Daniel oversees the culinary team for the Hilton’s Medici Café, Firenze Lobby Lounge, in-room dining, The Pool Bar & Grille and banquet events.
Chef Daniel joined Hilton Lake Las Vegas after working with Paleys and Neuehouse in Hollywood, Calif. He said he will beblending Southern California and Italian-style recipes to recreate the existing menu items throughout the resort’s dining venues.
“My goal is to offer a variety of healthy options with only the freshest ingredients, so even comfort foods will be made in a healthy way,” said Pfeiffer, who said he often visited the best restaurants in Southern California to stay in tune with the latest trends. “I found that healthy options, fresh ingredients and high-quality foods rank at the top of the list for people when they dine out.”
According to Ellen Saepoff, director of food and beverage for Hilton Lake Las Vegas, Pfeiffer’s passion for the culinary arts is an asset to the hotel and its guests.
“Chef Daniel brings a wealth of experience and knowledge to the table, and he is leading the team on redesigning the flavors and plate presentation of our menus,” Saepoff said. “The end result is going to be a collaboration of healthy and delicious selections that will keep our guests coming back for more.”
Trained in Germany, Pfeiffer’s career spans more than 30 years with positions at the MGM International in Reno, Nev., the University of Southern California, Luxor Hotel, Flamingo Hotel, Palace Station and Boulder Station in Las Vegas. International highlights include a role as the executive chef for Operakällarenin Sweden from 1982 to 1984, where Pfeiffer was a caterer to the King of Sweden for banquets.
